Just 7km from Ax-les-Thermes, at the foot of the Orlu National Wildlife Reserve, Parc Akrobranch d’Orlu runs 14 courses and 215 stations combining via ferrata, climbing and treetop adventure, set in a 6-hectare, centuries-old beech forest above the Orlu canyon and its waterfalls.
Several courses alternate treetop sections with via ferrata on the canyon’s rock walls, with zip lines running above the waterfalls, panoramic walkways and a suspension bridge. For younger children, La Clairière des Pitchouns, a dedicated 3,500m² area, offers balance games and an adventure course designed for ages 2 to 5, set apart from the more sporty courses. A continuous safety line and certified instructors supervise every course; the equipment is inspected annually, and the site holds the Qualité Tourisme Sud de France Occitanie label.
The park also offers canyoning and paintball on site, a waterfall trail for a gentler walk, and food service at Le Repaire des Forges, on the chalet terrace.

The park is open April to November. A shuttle runs from Ax-les-Thermes from 15 June to 15 September (by taxi the rest of the season; shuttle info on +33 5 61 64 68 05). Prices vary by course, generally between €6 and €26.
By car, allow around 1h30 from Toulouse and 25 minutes from Andorra.
